Happy Easter

Thanks to my friend Kate and her amazing cooking blog, I got this new crafty idea-Silk-dyed Easter eggs. You use old silk ties (I got some from D.I.) and they turn out awesome! Look at the great designs I got. I was pretty proud of them. You can check out their blog for the tutorial on how we did it at www.ourbestbites.com

Ooouu! That looks fun. I might hafta do this even though Easter is over. The website says raw eggs, but that makes me nervous. What did you use?

Missy, you START with raw eggs but then you have to boil them in the vinegar water for 20 min. which cooks the eggs (you just don't have to cook them beforehand like other methods of dying). I don't eat the ones I leave out for decoration cuz that wouldn't be safe, but others I refrigerated and made egg-salad sandwiches:)

Beautiful! I saw them on Kate's blog. I wanted to do them. I meant to do them. I thought about doing them. I didn't do them. But it's fun to see your's! :)
Your DC pics are great! How fun!

Wow Emmy. I'm impressed with those Easter eggs. Much nicer than the ones that we always tried to create with the white crayons and the dyes.

PS. Giraffes go Mrrr?
